Guwahati, August 2: Based on a specific input a naka checking was conducted at Diphu, Dhansiri road from early morning on Monday.
Accordingly, a Scorpio bearing Registration Number AS 17 D 0007 was intercepted and on thorough checking it is found that a secret chamber within the fuel tank of vehicle has been made where 41 nos.of soap cases containing suspected heroin of total 532 grams were kept concealed.
Accordingly, two persons, Aftab Hussain S/o Lt Abdul Hasim R/o Islampur PS Ratabari Karimganj and Sabir Hussain S/o Babul Hussain R/o Arjunpur PS Patargandhi Karimganj was apprehended and the suspected psychotropic substances were seized at PO and further investigation is going on.
