Guwahati, April 25: Amid a spike in Covid-19 cases in Assam, the Kamrup Metro district administration on Sunday formed home quarantine committee to monitor compliance of government guidelines for home quarantine of COVID 19 persons.
Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Metro Biswajit Pegu informed that the committee will monitor maintenance of home quarantine norms by the Covid-19 positive patients during the stipulated time of home quarantine.
In case of violation of the home quarantine norms, the committee will file complaints to the local police station.
Furthermore, if any government officials are found violating the home quarantine norms then the committee will intimate the district administration which will initiate departmental proceeding against the defaulting government employee.
