Bijni, May 6:  During the third phase of the Lok Sabha election a disturbing irregularity surfaced as a woman named Saheba Bibi alleged that her vote had been cast by another individual.

The incident took place when Saheba Bibi arrived to cast her vote at the Ballimari Primary School polling station in Bijni.

However, upon presenting herself at polling station number 203, Bibi alleged that her vote had already been cast by another individual following which she was unable to exercise her democratic right

Meanwhile, the District Election Officer, Bijni, initiated an inquiry following which it came to light that the allegations were baseless.

In an order issued by the election officer it has been mentioned, "The lady who claimed to have been denied the right to vote, had actually voted earlier. She was also offered to vote through Tender ballot Paper which she refused and left the polling station. The above mentioned facts were substantiated by the polling agents present during the poll process. It was also confirmed that the Election Officer did not give any comment on this matter to the media. Further investigation is going on."
